Alfie in the Air Shop
Artist and Photographer: Callum O'connellThis was an early morning around Culver, from ground level I was just surrounded by sea fog, there was just a few pockets where I could launch my drone and get above it, I could see a beautiful sunrise with the sun coming up and illuminating all the land on Culver down.
Artist and Photographer: Callum O'connellThis was an early morning in Etosha National Park, we were up before the sunrise to be there nice and early, it was a lovely warm morning, where we spotted this dazzle of zebras, Some zoologists think zebras use their stripes as camouflage when they're together in a big group to confuse predators - by making it harder to pick out individual zebras.
Artist and Photographer: Callum O'connellThis was a trip down to Woodside bay, very tucked away from the main road, me and a friend went down there really early morning to capture the sunrise, I found this boat floating in the water, which made for a nice shot, also really nice there is Portsmouth in the far distance.
Artist and Photographer: Callum O'connellThis is St Catherine's Oratory, built around the 1300s, its a medieval lighthouse, now has been replace by a modern lower down one, the area is prone to fog, so this one was unable to be seen when its foggy. I was lucky enough to catch the sun through the window. Locally this structure is named the pepper pot, and its 35 ft tall.
Artist and Photographer: Callum O'connellI had spotted this boat in Bembridge Harbour a couple of times, I really wanted a picture of it but I wanted the right and appropriate time to photograph it, with the name snowman, I wanted it surrounded by all white, so I waited until it was a really foggy morning and headed there.
Artist and Photographer: Callum O'connellNewtown creek is a really special place, I love getting my drone out and just exploring the area looking for patterns and what ever I can find, I usually just drop the anchor on the boat just on the outskirts of the creek and enjoy the quietness, whilst exploring the bits of the creek you can't see yourself.
Artist and Photographer: Callum O'connellThis was my first evening at the lodge, and we were blessed to see 2 white rhinos, at first they were a few hundred meters away, then they came closer to us, and came right up to the truck, I touched one on the head from the truck, absolutely incredible experience, after they calmed down and the guide felt it was safe, we were able to leave the truck and get some lower down photos. Best place to watch the sunset from.
