Alfie in the Air works closely with one of the leading studios for high-quality Limited Edition Photography Prints on the Isle of Wight from our established Ryde 29 Union Street Gallery. The list below is intended to be a helpful guide for first-time photography buyers. If you have other questions about buying our photographic prints from our Isle of Wight Gallery, please send a message to the Studio.

Q: Can art prints be delivered anywhere in the world?

A: Yes, Alfie in the Air regularly ships limited edition photography prints throughout the world, particularly to the USA, Australia, Europe, and the Far East. Most of the art prints can be dispatched quickly and will be posted within 7 days (additional postal charges may apply).

Q: What is the delivery time from order to delivery for limited edition prints?

A: All Alfie in the Air photography prints are usually delivered to UK delivery addresses within a maximum of seven working days, subject to availability. For delivery times of prints to addresses outside the UK, please get in touch with the Studio.

Q: What are the delivery costs for art prints?

A: Delivery to any UK address: for an unmounted or framed photography print, the delivery is Free. For delivery charges outside the UK, please contact the gallery.

Q: How are the limited edition prints packaged?

A: Alfie in the Air takes the utmost care to ensure art prints arrive in pristine condition. Unmounted art prints and limited edition prints come encased in a thick, sealed cardboard tube for maximum protection. Mounted and framed prints are packaged in strong board and cardboard parcels protected by heavy-duty bubble wrap. Due to the size of each parcel, the art prints do not fit through a letterbox – you may therefore wish to make special arrangements for taking delivery beforehand.

Q: What if the art prints are damaged in transit?

A: In this unlikely event, Alfie in the Air will send a replacement art print, or alternatively, a full refund will be made. All packaging material should be retained for inspection by the art courier.

Q: What methods of payment are accepted for purchasing Limited Edition Prints?

A: MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Visa Electron, JCB, Switch, Solo, and Alfie in the Air  Gift Vouchers are accepted as payment for art prints. Payment by personal credit card is subject to a 1.5% charge.

Q: Can I spread the cost of purchasing an art print?

A: Although Alfie in the Air Gallery does not offer credit terms, the gallery is more than happy to discuss payment terms with art collectors and customers. Typically, customers secure a limited edition print with an initial deposit and thereafter make payments until the art print is paid in full.

Q: Are my details secure?

A: Yes, Alfie in the Air is committed to protecting your privacy and will only use the information that is collected about you solely for use by and within our Isle of Wight Gallery secure purchasing app, and it will not be exchanged with third parties. Information you voluntarily supply to us will be used for the purposes of processing and delivering your British art print order.

Q: What is the returns policy at Alfie in the Air Gallery?

A: Any art prints which have been damaged in transit will be replaced by Alfie in the Air. In the unlikely event of damage to a print, customers MUST email the gallery WITHIN three DAYS of receiving the damaged art print to be eligible for a replacement or refund. Customers will receive a reply containing full details of Alfie in the Air  Gallery replacement/refund process. You MUST keep the damaged art print together with any damaged packaging until you receive instructions on what to do with it from Alfie in the Air Gallery. Failure to do this could result in an invalid claim against Alfie in the Air Gallery Returns Policy.

Other returns: Any limited edition print or art print which has been ordered from Alfie in the Air Photography Gallery website may be returned for any reason, provided it is within seven days of receiving the print. A full refund will be made by the same method with which you paid, within thirty days, but you must contact The New Gallery within seven days of receipt and return the art print in the original packaging. You will be responsible for the postage costs of returning the art prints. Returned art prints must reach The New Gallery in their original condition and be resalable for customers to be eligible for a refund.

Please note: This Returns Policy applies to items purchased through the website of ALFIE IN THE AIR only. Prints purchased by any other method (including from our Union Street Gallery) are likely to have a different policy; please ask for details when making your purchase.

Q: What does ‘unmounted price’, ‘mounted price’ or ‘framed price’ mean?

A: Most Limited Edition Prints supplied by Alfie in the Air can be bought from three options. ‘Unmounted’ is simply the print-only option. It is supplied in a tube. ‘Mounted’ is the basic print with a quality (usually double) outer mount board(s). The framed option has the print, mount board(s), frame, and glass.

Q: What is the difference between a limited edition print and an open edition print?

A: Limited edition prints are only ever produced in strictly limited numbers. The exact size of each edition varies from artist to artist and art publisher to art publisher. Typically, editions are from as few as 50 prints to as many as 850 art prints. Limited Edition Prints are often signed and numbered by the the photographer; alternatively, they are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Open edition prints are produced in an unlimited print run. These prints are not numbered and seldom signed by the artist. Although not as exclusive or collectable as limited edition prints, open edition prints offer a way of owning photography at a very affordable price.

Q: If the Alfie in the Air website indicates a photography print is sold out, what does it mean?

A: ‘Sold Out’ means the art print is no longer available from Alfie in the Air inventory. However, it may still be possible to obtain the art print from the publisher or other sources. To enquire about ‘Sold Out’ British art prints, please contact the gallery.

Q: On the Alfie in the Air Gallery website, what does the size of the print mean?

A: The first measurement indicates the height of the limited edition print, and the second measurement is the width. The sizes are for the print only, i.e., excluding the mount and/or frame.

Q: Will The New Gallery supply a specific frame for my limited edition print to match an existing print?

A: Yes, we offer a full framing service for all limited edition prints purchased from the gallery. See more about Framing from Alfie in the Air.

Q: Who owns the copyright of any limited edition print which is purchased?

A: Copyright of the image for all limited edition prints remains the property of the artist or publisher. By purchasing art prints from Alfie in the Air website, you acquire ownership of the physical print but not any intellectual property rights to reuse the images.
