The Isle of Wight has been getting some really strong winds the past week, especially around the Needles Lighthouse and Freshwater Bay so on Tuesday me and a friend decided to take his sailing boat out in the choppy waters, we left from his Marina from East Cowes, and set sail towards the Needles lighthouse on the Isle of Wight, I didn’t expect to be flying the drone around, but I had it with me in case I wanted to get some photographs. After a rough trip we arrived near the needles, we kept quite a distance between us and it,  the wind was blowing a gale! but I really wanted a good aerial shot of the big waves smashing up against the lighthouse and rocks, so I set up my Dji Mavic 3 and sent it up, I first checked it could stay reasonable still and keep position and kept quite low, but the drone did great. Here are some of the photos I took of catching a nice wave smashing against the lighthouse.
