Our Isle of Wight to Aran Island road-trip. Me and a friend decided we should go to Ireland for a trip around the south, so we booked our ferry over there and set off on the long drive, firstly we had to get on Wightlink from Fishbourne, after making it to Portsmouth we had a long 250 Mile to Fishguard in Wales, we arrived at Irish ferries around 23:00, for our 23:45 ferry, we had a 4 hour crossing and then we were back on the road, around 4am we started our drive to our first destination, the Aran islands, so we drove to Doolin, another 4 hour driving, parked up the car and caught the ferry over to the island. we spent 2 nights on the islands.

The Aran islands are super special, they are so behind the times, people travel round with horses ,push bikes and walking, there was a few cars for locals, but most walk or cycle, the islands are only small. The first place I wanted to visit was the shipwreck, washed up on the shore over 60 years ago and still there today, it was really fascinating to see.

Next we headed over to the lighthouse for some good photography, it faced directly towards the Atlantic Ocean, I bet it took a few beatings from a storm or two over the years, still proudly standing strong today though.

After our final day we headed back to the ferry and caught it back to Doolin, from here we continued south, towards where parts of Star Wars are filmed. We returned for some enjoyable Isle of Wight Photos.
